More dining room options

I made up the following boards to help me figure out this dining room seating confusion. I think the problems is, and this is very true with the rest of my life, is that I really LIKE a lot of the options. They would all fit great and give the house different feels. I just can't figure out which one I like best. Or which one I'll still be mostly happy with in a few years. I am such a Gemini. Always indecisive. In case you forgot- here is our dining room

Option 1-
Target rug, Chairs we already own, CB2 Contact stools
Dining Room- View 1

Or the same option, without rug:
Dining Room- View 3

Option 2: Dash and Albert Rug, Ikea Parsons Chair with linen slipcover, matching C&B Pacifica bench

Dining Room View 2

Or with a different rug:

I'm also liking the following...

Sheffield Side Chair - Dining Chairs - Kitchen And Dining Room Furniture - Furniture | HomeDecorators.com
The painted look is fresh, and I think the curves of the chair would play off the heavy table well.

Side Chair. 18"H seat;

Scroll 48.25"H Pendant - Pendant Lighting - Lighting | HomeDecorators.com

Metal chairs, very unexpected. Bonus, cat can not use these as a scratching post.

  1. I didn't post a comment yesterday because I'm finding it hard to pick a favorite myself! I'm finding that I like the parson's chair with either rug, but if the construction isn't great, they I'd go with the mixed seating...I think it's cool an unexpected.

  2. I love the metal chairs!

You might want to consider option #1. I would recover the chair seats with a different color fabric.

    Good luck!

  3. Found you via houseblogs.net.

I like Option 2 with the first rug. I think the parsons chair fabric is a nice soft contrast to the table.

  4. I love option 2 with the floral rug! The chair is perfect. I'm actually buying some like that for our dining room table.

  5. Something to keep in mind with the stools...if you're sitting at the table for an hour your back might start to hurt with no backing to lean against.

  6. Here is my 2 cents:

First choice, chairs you have. Next choice, metal chairs. Not too keen on the painted chairs, but if you get them, don't let that stop you from inviting me to dinner!
